BlockSec: FOOMCASH suffers a loss of approximately $2.26 million due to imitation attack

Blockchain security agency BlockSec monitored and discovered that the Base and the FOOMCASH contract on the Ethereum network encountered imitation attacks, using methods similar to the previous Veil Cash vulnerability. The attacker forged zkSNARK proofs due to incorrect verification key configuration, resulting in a total loss of approximately $2.26 million for the contract.
Among them, a single attack transaction on Base caused a loss of about $427,000, while approximately $1.83 million in related transactions on Ethereum are suspected to be white hat rescue operations.
