A large Solana (SOL) holding wallet has purchased 47,535 SOL. The purchase amount is reported to be $3.6 million (approximately 5.09 billion KRW). According to on-chain analytics firm Lookonchain, the wallet GvHYQQ made this additional purchase after being inactive for over two years. This wallet also has a history of buying 291,790 SOL for $6.82 million (approximately 9.64 billion KRW) in August and October 2023, with an average purchase price of $23.37 at that time. The reason this transaction is drawing attention is due to the timing of past purchases. Lookonchain explained that this wallet experienced a price increase after buying SOL during the downturn in 2023. However, it is merely an observation of past trading records, and it is difficult to assert that the price movement will repeat solely based on purchases from the same wallet. SOL fell below $10 after the FTX collapse in 2022 but has shown signs of recovery since then. Watcher Guru reported that SOL recently peaked at $293.31 in January 2025 before dropping over 74%. Whale purchases can influence short-term sentiment, but the purpose of this address or any future selling plans remain unknown. SOL is a major altcoin traded on domestic exchanges, and this transaction represents an on-chain movement of a specific wallet; additional indicators are needed to interpret it as a market-wide supply and demand situation. Large wallet purchases and ETF fund flows are different indicators, making it difficult to assess SOL demand recovery or price direction based on one alone.
