Warning About Fake Tether Tokens on the BNB Chain

Cryptocurrency users should be vigilant about fake tokens with names and symbols similar to Tether (USDT) on the BNB Chain. These tokens may be distributed to deceive users and direct them to malicious websites. Investigations have shown that examples of these tokens have been marked as fake tokens on the BscScan explorer. Receiving such tokens unintentionally does not mean the wallet has been hacked, but the main risk arises when a user confuses this asset with real USDT and clicks on related links. These pages can encourage users to sign malicious transactions. To identify real Tether, users should check the token contract address. The official USDT contract on the BNB Smart Chain is recognized by the address 0x55d398326f99059ff775485246999027b3197955. If an anonymous token is received, it is advised to refrain from transferring or swapping it and not to enter the recovery phrase or private key of the wallet on websites. Security experts emphasize that user interaction with the token and its related contracts is much more important than merely receiving the token in the wallet.
