Three grain terminals in the ports of Novorossiysk and Taman have restricted the acceptance of trucks carrying grain due to attacks by Ukrainian drones. These terminals have the capacity to ship over 20 million tons of grain per year, which accounts for nearly half of the total maritime export of Russian grain products, estimated at 50 million tons. The restrictions were imposed after Russia closed maritime routes to the Sea of Azov, where before the blockade of the Don-Don Channel, about a quarter of all Russian wheat exports passed through. The market notes increased risks for Black Sea port infrastructure, which reduces carriers' willingness to operate on these routes. Russia is trying to redirect exports to other destinations, including ports on the Baltic Sea, while the route through the Caspian Sea is limited due to the situation in the Middle East. As part of Operation 'MoLoChKa', Ukrainian forces struck 201 Russian vessels in three weeks. Ukraine is also facing difficulties in exporting grain through the Black Sea due to Russian attacks on ports and vessels.
