Trezor has officially added support for HyperEVM, allowing users to manage HYPE and HyperEVM ecosystem assets with their hardware wallets. HYPE transaction verification is now possible on Trezor devices, with private keys stored offline. The hardware wallet keeps private keys separated from online environments, and transaction details are displayed on the Trezor device screen. HyperEVM provides a smart contract execution environment based on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and HYPE serves as the native gas token for HyperEVM. HYPE is processed with a mainnet chain ID of 999, and users should be cautious not to confuse the remittance network with wallet connection paths. This integration is interpreted as a change in storage and usage environment rather than price. The hardware wallet support represents a functional change that broadens personal storage options, with indications that large HYPE holders have moved their assets to HyperEVM. However, the scope of asset management for HYPE and HyperEVM through Trezor devices is limited, and specific functionalities require further confirmation. HyperEVM is still in its alpha stage, and additional data is needed to assess the impact of Trezor support on HYPE prices or ecosystem metrics.
