The Ukrainian market for complex fertilizers has seen a rise in prices for certain types of products. The main factors are the reduction in the supply of phosphate fertilizers in Europe and price increases by Polish manufacturers. The shutdown of the Lithuanian plant Lifosa has resulted in the withdrawal of about 1 million tons of DAP, MAP, and NPS per year from the European market, which has increased the cost of phosphate fertilizers and intensified Europe’s dependence on supplies from Morocco. In Ukraine, the price of sulfoammophos (NPS/NP) has risen by 300–500 UAH/ton in a week. Unstable logistics due to the Danube are also putting pressure on the market. Polish manufacturers Siarczopol and FOSFAN raised prices on August 11: superphosphate 19% costs 22.8–23.4 thousand UAH/ton FCA, sulfoammophos NPS 20:20 — 29.0–29.5 thousand UAH/ton FCA, and NPS 16:20 — 28.20 thousand UAH/ton. The import segment of fertilizers in Ukraine includes products from Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Jordan, Latvia, Poland, and South Korea. Ukraine is increasing its import of mineral fertilizers, with Poland accounting for about 25% of the market, surpassing Bulgaria, Morocco, and China.
