In Moscow, raids were conducted at the shopping complex "Gorbushka" regarding unregistered crypto exchanges. Law enforcement officials discovered over 10 million rubles in cash and seized documents and computer equipment. The raids began on Thursday evening, initially checking the exchanges before moving on to the offices. The complex's administration confirmed the investigative activities. Employees of the exchanges were questioned, and one courier was detained for delivering cash for exchange into cryptocurrency, which may have been obtained through phone fraud. Amid the raids, 25 young men of athletic build arrived at the complex, including a vehicle with Dagestani plates linked to Abubakar Nurmagomedov. The operation at "Gorbushka" occurred a week after similar actions by the FSB in "Moscow-City," where more than 20 people were detained and the operations of 9 unregistered exchange points were halted. The raids coincided with the launch of a new law on digital currencies, signed by Vladimir Putin, which will come into effect on September 1, 2026, establishing a legal framework for cryptocurrencies.
