OpenRouter has unveiled 'Ori Eval', an evaluation tool that compares the performance, speed, and cost of AI models. This tool helps developers find the right model without the need to test multiple options. Ori Eval executes real prompts and checks tool calls and response quality, providing a basis for model selection. It evaluates which model works better for specific services, taking into account individual product data and execution environments that are difficult to reflect in general benchmarks. During the evaluation process, the execution environment and model settings are fixed to prevent result distortion. The evaluation results are saved in '.eval.ts' format and executed in 'bun test' mode. It also offers functionality to convert customer support agent queries into test cases, which can be utilized for regression testing in connection with GitHub Actions. This release demonstrates that OpenRouter's business scope is expanding from model mediation to development and operational management. In addition to credit cards and Alipay, OpenRouter also supports the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC).
