NES token trading resumes on Binance Alpha and Kraken after $286M exploit
Nesa's NES token resumed trading on Binance Alpha and regained Ethereum funding on Kraken on Sept. 10 following an Aug. 24 security incident. Binance Alpha is implementing two snapshots to differentiate eligible 1:1 swaps from refunds, while Kraken will migrate NES covered by its funding incident to a new Ethereum contract, with BNB-chain funding remaining disabled. Users on Binance must have held NES before Aug. 24 at 14:51 UTC and an eligible portion when trading was suspended on Sept. 5 at 04:00 UTC to qualify for the 1:1 swap. NES acquired after the cutoff is excluded from the swap and will be treated separately. Binance will notify eligible users via email within seven business days regarding refunds. Trading on Binance is set to reopen at 08:00 UTC on Sept. 10. At Kraken, NES will migrate 1:1 to a new Ethereum contract, with deposits and withdrawals resuming at 14:00 UTC on Sept. 10. NES funding on BNB Chain will remain disabled. Customers should ensure they are using the correct Ethereum contract details when transferring NES. The actions taken by the exchanges do not apply to NES held in private wallets, and self-custodied holders should verify any migration steps through official channels.
