Musk Plans to Support Republican Midterm Elections
Elon Musk is intervening in the midterm elections through a large-scale investment plan aimed at increasing voter turnout among Republican supporters. He will restart the suspended super PAC "America PAC," which previously spent over $260 million in 2024 to help Donald Trump win the presidency. The PAC will focus on door-to-door canvassing, digital advertising, and direct mail campaigns to mobilize conservative voters, particularly those who typically do not vote in non-presidential election years. Musk's representatives did not disclose the specific amount of spending, but it is expected to be substantial. Musk's investment will further enhance the Republican Party's funding advantage over the Democrats. Currently, Trump's low approval ratings on issues such as the economy and the Iran war pose risks to the Republican Party's prospects of maintaining a majority in the House and Senate in the elections on November 3.
