(Photo by John Sciulli/Getty Images for Gucci) A month into its run on the Billboard charts, Miley Cyrus’s latest single “End of the World” doesn’t appear to be on track for blockbuster status. The cut fronts her forthcoming album Something Beautiful , which is expected to arrive at the end of May, and so far, the project hasn’t produced a major smash. “End of the World” is on the decline on a number of U.S. rankings this frame, and it looks like it may disappear from several important tallies very soon. While the tune dips on multiple lists, it also manages to reach a new peak on one roster, and even debuts on another, as Cyrus and her team look to radio to keep the track afloat. “End of the World” is Still Living on Half a Dozen Charts “End of the World” drops on three rankings in America this week and holds steady on another. That performance suggests the tune may not have much life left in it on the charts, even though the cut has only spent four weeks on each of those tallies. This week, it falls to the lowest rungs on both the Hot 100 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S., and it no longer appears on the Billboard Global 200. When Billboard refreshes the rankings in a few days, there’s a good chance that “End of the World” will vanish from these two rosters, perhaps never to return. Miley Cyrus Scores a Medium-Sized Radio Win All is not bleak, though. “End of the World” rises one spot on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, hitting a new peak at No. 18. At the same time, it slips one spot to No. 12 on the Adult Contemporary tally and holds at its all-time high of No. 21 on the Pop Airplay list. “End of the World” is Now a Dance Hit Cyrus also debuts her single on another radio-focused Billboard list. The song launches at No. 35 on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. Remixes of the Something Beautiful cut help it reach this roster, where Cyrus has found real success in the past. Several singles from her previous album Endless Summer Vacation — “Flowers,” “Used to Be Young,” “Jaded,” and “River” — all spent time on this tally, and some of them even ran k among her longest-charting hits. No. 35 is a low starting point on the 40-spot roster, but this could be just the beginning for “End of the World,” which might find a new audience among electronic dance fans. As the song arrives, Cyrus collects her twelfth appearance on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay list.
