Meta Muse Spark 1.2 and Muse Code Launch at Low Prices, 29% Cheaper than DeepSeek

Meta has set a Contributor low-price tier for Muse Spark 1.2 and Muse Code, allowing users to receive significant discounts by permitting Meta to use prompts and model outputs to train subsequent models. The prices for this tier are $0.10, $0.002, and $0.20 per million tokens for input, cache hits, and output respectively, compared to DeepSeek V4 Flash's prices of $0.14, $0.0028, and $0.28, making Muse's prices approximately 29% cheaper across the board. Users who do not wish to share data must use the standard tier, where the prices for input, cache hits, and output will rise to $1.25, $0.15, and $4.25, which are 12.5 times, 75 times, and 21.25 times higher than the low-price tier. The Contributor tier has a call limit of up to 60 requests per minute and 2.1 million tokens, while the standard tier supports 3,000 requests per minute and 4 million tokens. DeepSeek has announced that its API prices will soon increase significantly, with specific prices yet to be disclosed, while Meta has reduced Muse's prices to be 29% lower than DeepSeek's.
