Iran's Foreign Ministry Condemns U.S. Economic Threats, Calls on Countries Not to Enforce Sanctions
Iran's Foreign Ministry condemned the latest round of U.S. economic measures, labeling them as "economic terrorism." The ministry stated that Washington's "Economic Storm Operation" aims to make ordinary Iranian citizens suffer, constituting international crimes and crimes against humanity. These sanctions violate international law and fundamental rights, including the right to access medical services and food. The Iranian Foreign Ministry urged all countries not to enforce these sanctions and not to recognize any consequences arising from them. The statement pointed out that in the face of the joint military and economic actions of the U.S. and Israel, Tehran will take all available means to defend the nation. The statement emphasized that the U.S. abuses the dollar as a tool to intimidate other countries, forcing them to accept its interventionist and unlawful policies against Iran, infringing on the sovereignty of nations and the rights of all United Nations member states. The U.S. sanctions against Iran, due to their nature and consequences, seriously violate the United Nations Charter.
