Fish Audio has announced the completion of a $50 million seed round financing, led by Coreline Ventures and Capital Today, with participation from 359 Capital, Parable, Play Time, Alphalist Partners, Bayhouse Ventures, Carya Venture Partners, and HF0. Founded by former NVIDIA researcher Shijia Liao, Fish Audio aims to enhance the expressiveness of synthetic voice technology in the market, utilizing a single GPU to train voice generation models and open-source them. The Fish Speech project has garnered over 31,000 stars on GitHub and is widely used by independent developers, game designers, and content creators. Over the past year, Fish Audio has launched five models, including four voice generation models and one speech-to-text model, with three voice generation models already open-sourced. The latest S2.1 Pro model is available exclusively through a paid API. Since its launch, the open-source and hosted version of the models have attracted over 8 million users, with an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $21 million.
