In Brazil, cryptocurrency investors outnumber stock investors by approximately 2.7 times, with 17.2% of respondents indicating they have invested in crypto compared to 6.4% for stocks, according to a survey by Paradigma and Datafolha. The survey, which included 2,004 participants, estimates that Brazil has around 29 million crypto investors. Among various investment options, crypto ranks fifth, following savings, real estate, cash holdings, and investment funds, while surpassing time deposits at banks (15.1%), foreign currencies (14%), and gold (9.8%). Among crypto investors, 83% reported using banking apps to buy or hold crypto, while 26% utilized self-custody wallets and 20% relied on exchanges. The survey was conducted across 137 municipalities in Brazil from May 11 to May 14.
